Program of the Year 2024

The OAFE is thrilled to announce the return of the Program of the Year award. This prestigious award will honor an Ontario fire department that has demonstrated remarkable creativity and effectiveness in developing a new program, or modernizing an existing one, to engage and benefit their community in a unique and impactful way.
The Program of the Year award seeks to spotlight those who go above and beyond in their commitment to fire education and community outreach. Whether it is through innovative training methods, engaging public education campaigns, or creative use of technology, we want to celebrate programs that make a significant impact and set a new standard for fire education.
What are we looking for?
Innovation: How original and creative is the program? Does it introduce new ideas or approaches?
Effectiveness: How well does the program address community needs or challenged? What impact has it had?
Engagement: How successfully does the program reach and involve the community?
Sustainability: Is the program designed to be effective in the long-term?
We encourage all members to submit nominations and share their successful initiatives with us. Your innovative efforts not only advance our field but also inspire others to strive for excellence.
