Kerry’s Place – How to reach and engage individuals on the Autism spectrum through remote learning/virtual. What we have learned can help to make you successful.

Welland Fire – The dance seen ’round the world – FPO Michael Atkins will give attendees the behind-the-scenes info on how the famous video was made, including the how-to mechanics of filming, editing & legal compliance.

BREAKOUT ROOM SESSIONS (these will be repeated so that each group rotates through all three)

NFPA: From data to program development in 75 minutes! – Grab your CRA, HIRA, and SRIs and come prepared to work together to develop a turnkey public education program. Participants will identify risks and target audiences in their communities, create messages, determine delivery channels, develop an implementation plan, and draft evaluation strategies. Programs will be shared with participants in all three sessions – everyone goes back to work with new programs and messages for specific, identified risks and audiences!
NOTE: Participants must review data in advance and be prepared to discuss risks and target audiences in their communities at the beginning of the session.

Health Canada: Products and fields that fall under your purview – Recent findings about CO & smoke alarms –counterfeit safety concerns, how they are coming in (online shopping). Approach to address issue: consumer awareness of purchasing products online and not being listed or certified to Canadian standards. Deliverables that fire service can take away and use in their community for this issue: media campaigns, social media tweets, resources, advisory, etc.

Richmond Hill Fire & Emergency Services: The App of the Future – a peek under the hood of the app that does it all. The rise smart phones and tablets has increased faster than the software the fire service uses to collect, extract and analyze smoke alarm stats. RHFES will showcase their all-in-one app, which is connected to their SIR.

NOTE: This event runs from 08:30 – 15:15 hours. The agenda ensures that attendees get frequent wellness breaks, plus a 30-min lunch break.
