2026 AGM & Education Sessions

What can attendees expect?

  • An update from OAFE President, Shanyn Godward, regarding the OAFE and how we are working to further public education for fire departments across Ontario
  • Have your say in shaping the OAFE Executive Board – hear from nominees and vote for who you’d like to see be on the OAFE Board for the 2026-2028 term
  • Engaging education sessions (sessions are being finalized – stay tuned!)
AGM Details

Date: Wednesday, April 15th, 2026
Location: Virtual (Zoom)
Time: 9:00am to 12:00pm
Member Cost: FREE for paid OAFE Members
Non-Member Cost: $85

2026-2028 Elections

Are you passionate about further fire safety in Ontario? Do you know someone who is? We will be conducting the elections for the following positions for the 2026-2028 term:

  • Vice-President
  • Treasurer
  • Director 2
  • Director 4

Nominations for these positions will go live on Sunday, March 1st, 2026, and will close on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026. Stay tuned!

Education Sessions

This year’s education sessions will take place from 9:30am to 12:00pm. Session details are being finalized and will be posted here as soon as this information is available.

OAFE Membership

The AGM & Education Sessions are free to attend for paid OAFE Members. Outstanding memberships will be invoiced by our team prior to the AGM. If you are not currently an OAFE Member and would like to unlock access to the AGM and other virtual education opportunities and resources, visit our membership page here.

Dear Member:

As the President of the Ontario Association of Fire Educators (OAFE), I am delighted to have you as a member of the OAFE. Your dedication to fire safety education and prevention is the cornerstone of our organization’s success.

Our association is committed to creating and providing modern, effective public education resources for the fire service and the general public. Your role in this mission is invaluable, as you are the front-line educators who bring these resources to life in our communities across Ontario.

This year, we’re excited to announce several initiatives that will enhance our collective impact:

    • Professional development opportunities: We’re arranging and facilitating professional and personal development programs to keep you at the forefront of fire safety education.

    • Collaboration with partners: We’re strengthening our partnerships, including our ongoing collaboration with the OMFPOA and NFPA for our quarterly webinar series.

    • New board members: We’re thrilled to welcome three new board members who will bring fresh perspectives to our organization.

    • Upcoming events: Mark your calendars for our annual conference, where we’ll share best practices, network, and learn from industry experts.

    • Program of the Year: We’re excited to announce the return of the Program of the Year award, recognizing outstanding fire education programs across Ontario.
